Crystal Jade

This post was meant to focus on the highly-overrated Xiao Long Bao of Crystal Jade. The moment I heard about Crystal Jade opening here in the Philippines, talks about it's "xiao long bao" spread like fire in town. So the moment I had the opportunity to go to Greenhills, I made sure to try it and a couple more hits.

This is the placemat of Crystal Jade where it talks about... yeah, it's xiao long bao.

Crave Burger

My foodie buddy and I were craving for burgers and it just so happened that the first burger place we saw when we alighted the cab was CRAVE BURGER.

I actually have already tasted crave burger at the Ultimate Taste Test 4.0 so this wasn't my first time.

Our LUCKY 9 number
My buddy's drink: Red Lemonade
My drink: Blue Lemonade -- because BLUE is COOL =P
We ordered the meal. Sadly, I forgot the name of the meal.
The meal came with double burger patties -- we were terribly hungry...
I had mine cooked medium-well and I added some blue cheese on top.
The burger is flavorful and juicy. It's definitely NOT your ordinary Jolly-Mc burger. I only have two qualms about it. First is, it's kinda messy to eat 'cause when you bite off the burger, small bits and pieces fall off. I kinda like burgers which are "glued/compacted" together. Secondly, I think it had way too much onions within the burger. I could see bits of onions with the ground meat. But that's just coming from a person who really dislikes onions.

The ambiance inside the store was hip yet cozy. Take a look around and you might spot me in one of the pics. =P

The Burger Project

I've been missing school ever since I got out of it. The quizzes, recitations, homeworks, and of course, the projects! So here's to my new foodie discovery...

The BRGR PROJECT

If only all school projects are like the BURGER PROJECT, I would not think twice about going back to school.

Bizu

Welcome to BIZU!

I've known Bizu for their macaroons but this was the first time I ate here.

Orange Juice

Mushroom Ragout

I had a painstakingly hard time removing the onions one by one... I totally forgot to ask them to hold the onions!!

Bonchon chicken

I've read rave reviews about bonchon chicken and I was really eager to try it out. It was a good thing that it opened at Ayala Triangle because it's relatively near my aunt's office. ( Yes, being strategically near my aunt's office/place is a factor in choosing where to eat.)

And so we went... I haven't had any food since morning so I was really really hungry...

The tarp in front of the BonChon store
The choices... chicken... chicken... and oh... chicken!
Our waiting number... 20.... we waited more than 20minutes for our order...
Out of boredom and the need to preoccupy my hungry belly while we wait for our food, I took some pics of the store...

The ceiling.
The cool wall art.
The door where Bonchon staff comes&goes.... I was constantly looking at this door while waiting for our orders to be brought  out and served on our table...
The BonChon drinks cup
The BonChon box - it reminded me of KFC/Jollibee packaging...
Chicken chop rice box - chicken strips fried the BonChon way with rice... it didn't satisfy my hungry belly...
Bonchon Chicken Combo - wings fried the BonChon way... it was okay (said in a sarcastic way). I was expecting it to be more amazing but sadly, it didn't have the "wow" factor I was looking for....
Ginger Tofu Salad - My aunt and I liked this more than the BonChon Chicken
Perhaps one of the factors why I didn't appreciate dining here so much was because of the hair we found on the plates... Not to mention the insect that we saw, the long waiting time and the sloppy service....
